Yes. Paste or type a SKU and Global Search returns the matching variant as its own destination, with its parent product for context. Opening the result takes you directly to that variant.

No. Global Search matches the identifiers operators use most: names, titles, SKUs, tags, vendors, filenames, alt text, handles, and definition keys. It does not currently perform full-text search across product descriptions or metafield values.

Yes. One query searches the account across connected stores. When a store-specific version caused the match, the result identifies that store so you can open the right record confidently.

Yes. Media results can match filenames, tags, and alt text, which makes it easier to find an image even when you do not remember which product currently uses it.

Yes. Global Search includes metafield definitions by key, custom fields, and metaobject definitions. You can search for a schema element such as care_instructions instead of hunting through settings.

Yes. The command palette matches app pages such as Bulk Edit, Drops, Health Center, and settings from the first character, so it works as both catalog search and app navigation.

Exact matches rank ahead of prefix matches, which rank ahead of substring matches. Within the same match tier, fresher records appear first. Results are grouped by type and include enough context to distinguish similar records.

Yes. Recent selections can resurface when you reopen Global Search on the same device, helping you return to frequently used records and pages quickly.
